Isn't it time you got serious about backup?!
Protecting your family photos, address book, music, and documents from loss is easy and inexpensive... Let us help!

"With the kids growing up fast, I use Carbonite because I could never replace my once-in-a-lifetime family photos..."
           - Andy Trask

Nobody expects their computer to crash, but we can tell you from experience, that it happens every day. We get the panic calls from people who didn't expect it and are now stuck wondering whether they'll ever see their family photos again. The good news for some, is that we are able to recover their lost data (albeit at great expense). Sadly though, for many, the hard drive is so badly damaged, there simply isn't anything left to recover... The real tragedy in this scenario, is that the losses and expense could have been easily averted by using Carbonite, an easy-to-install and even easier-to-use data backup product that costs only $49.95 a year!

In the past, the stuff stored on the home computer was largely expendable and people didn't worry too much about data backup. However, the digital landscape has changed significantly in the last decade or so, and people are finally starting to realize the sentimental and financial value of the data stored on their home computers. In addition to digital photos of babies, young children, and aging parents, tax and financial information, homework projects and personal papers, emails, contact lists, and address books, many of us at this point, have also accumulated very large music libraries that would costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars to replace.

Data loss can happen at any time and to anyone! You don't have to be a super user and you don't have to abuse your computer. Every day, unexpected computer crashes wipe out gigabytes of data for regular people just like you. People who just didn't take the time to back up their data and who never thought a crash would happen. And even though you might think you have to have an old "worn out" computer to suffer this sort of problem, people with brand-new computers experience serious crashes too. The point is, regardless of who you are or how you use your computer, and regardless of the age of your computer, if you don't act now to safeguard your data, you are taking a chance at losing it all!

DANGER SIGNS

Data in Peril!

"...What most people fail to understand, is that this one-time event is often the precursor to total hard-drive failure..."

The #1 danger sign that most home computer users ignore is the intermittent hard-drive failure. That is, a failure where instead of starting up properly, the computer reports an error indicating "drive cannot be found," or "no boot device," or "insert disk and strike a key," but then, after shutting down and waiting a bit, or "cooling down" as some customers say, the computer miraculously "fixes itself". What most people fail to understand, is that this one-time event is often the precursor to total hard-drive failure, and the longer you continue to run your system after such an event, the more likely you are to suffer a failure that is unrecoverable, or that can only be recovered at great expense using specialized services!

If you value your data, heed this advice: If you experience any kind of boot message indicating that a disk can't be found or needs to be inserted, or if your start-up failure is accompanied by unusual whirring, grinding, or clicking sounds, immediately shut off your computer and get professional help!
